This project offers a sustainable approach to creating a multifunctional, intergenerational center in the heart of Žibřidice, replacing the old supermarket, while the architectural concept responds sensitively to the landscape under Ještěd mountain. The ground floor houses a café and a local food store, the barrier-free 1st floor serves social and community activities. The building is designed as a wooden structure (CLT panels) with a facade made of local granite grit and spruce planks, complemented by a southern gallery and a northern dormer with a view of the landscape. The adjoint garden offers a seating stairs, playground and intimate nooks. The landscaping solution by the watercourse integrates blue-green infrastructure with a functional dry detention basin and biodiversity support.
