Ve Svahu: collective living in the slopes of Podolí

The project site is located in Podolí, Prague, near the walls of Vyšehrad. The proposal creates housing combined with a new public space that respects the surrounding urban scale and the site’s sloping terrain. Based on the cohousing concept, the design balances public, semi-public, and private spaces while encouraging community interaction through shared indoor and outdoor areas. The project improves site permeability, creates visual connections to Vyšehrad, and uses viewpoints created by the terrain. Ecological aspects include rainwater retention, rooftop greenery, underground parking, and a shared street concept prioritizing pedestrians over cars.
