Center of interwar architecture

This project revitalizes the defunct farmyard of the historic Volman villa. The new center for interwar architecture complements the functionalist landmark with a humble, horizontal design. The layout flows from a public café to intimate accommodation, with large-format glazing connecting the interior to the central atrium and the landscape. A preserved chimney serves as a vertical anchor, bridging the site's history with contemporary public space.
