Černá River Basin

This project builds upon a shared vision for the Novohradské Mountains, a border landscape between the Czech Republic and Austria marked by post-war transformations and vanished settlements. Through close collaboration between urbanism and landscape architecture, the work proposes a conceptual approach to the entire Černá River basin. The proposal aims to preserve and restore historical and landscape values through a differentiated approach — from the northern area with development potential, through the central part focused on restoring disrupted settlement structures, to the southern landscape shaped mainly by landscape interventions or left entirely to nature.
