Exhibition of Studio Projects

Annotation

The design is situated at the end of Pařížská Avenue, below Prague’s Metronom in Letná. The aim of the project is to connect the riverfront with the upper level of Letná Park and to address the significant elevation difference. The building is embedded into the slope and designed as a natural part of the landscape. The main element is a ramp connecting the exterior with the interior while also creating a public pedestrian route toward the Metronome. The building functions as an extension of the National Gallery, with exhibition spaces set into the terrain. The glass façade reflects the surrounding nature and connects the interior with panoramic views of Prague. The accessible roof also expands the public space beneath the Metronome and creates a new vantage point overlooking the city.
