Klárov, the great side of the Lesser Town

I walk along Kaprova Street from the Old Town Square. Across Palach Square, there's a concert on at the Rudolfinum. Across the Mánes Bridge. I humbly follow the rooftops of the Philharmonic rising in the shadow of the Castle. Two buildings welcome me into the city, it feels like passing through a gate. I pause for a moment on the bank of the Vltava. In a timber-framed little house I buy a coffee, I pass under the bridge, and through Klárov I make my way to the Old Castle Steps, then I run up to the Castle. On the Opýš I rest and drink in the panorama of the city. Below me crouch the palaces of the Lesser Town, Saint Nicholas, the spire of the new Philharmonic building, and the Straka Academy down on Klárov. On Klárov, the great side of the Lesser Town
