Cinema Klapka

This building connects the industrial past with the modern development of the district, and was created in collaboration with urban planners as an overall solution for the selected area. A lightweight curtain wall opens onto a new pedestrian zone (an extension of Na Maninách Street), inviting passers-by inside. The recessed even floors form a light-filled circulation core. At the heart of the project are four versatile screening rooms of varying capacities, complemented by office spaces on the upper floors. In the evening, the cinema turns into a glowing lantern and, thanks to the ground-floor bar, stays alive towards the riverfront long after the final credits roll.
