The Fragmented Parks

Located in Barcelona at the boundary between the historic organic urban fabric and Cerdà’s Eixample grid, the project explores fragmented geometries inspired by Gaudí’s mosaic language. Three parks were designed using a common ground pattern while offering different spatial experiences. The Park of Trees focuses on vegetation and collective space through shaded gathering areas formed by Platanus trees. The Park of Shadow combines fragmented surfaces with a bamboo pergola, creating dynamic light and shadow conditions throughout the day. The Art Park introduces water as a cooling and sensory element, where reflections, textures, and mosaic-inspired forms transform the landscape into an artistic public space.
