A Green Stream Through Braník

The core concept of the project is to connect the local system of ecological stability with the Vltava River by placing the Jižní spojka underground and creating prominent green axes. These axes serve as the natural arteries of the area, bringing a tranquil, green character into the proposed development. The urban design is based on the principle of a gradient—a seamless transition from the intimacy of community courtyards to the open recreational landscape along the riverbank. This principle is naturally reflected in the diversity of the built environment, where a compact block structure featuring local high-rise landmarks gradually transitions into smaller, more open forms towards the water.
