VAULT LIVING
Annotation
The sensitive revitalization of an early 19th-century farmhouse restores its residential function while preserving its original vaults, materials, and rural character. The U-shaped building is divided into two independent dwelling units with a shared entrance, responding to the distinct character of its individual wings. The architectural design is based on respect for the historic fabric of the house, its authentic atmosphere, and the richly preserved barrel and Bohemian vaults, which become the defining feature of the interior. The project also includes the revitalization of the underground spaces, the reconstruction of structural elements, and carefully considered additions that respect the building’s historical value.
