LET'S MEET AT THE CHERRY TREES

People mostly pass the Faculty of Architecture at CTU, using the space as a transit corridor, although it is a place where visions of future cities and landscapes emerge. Daily routines, rush, and vast concrete surfaces suppress its potential for perception and use. Proposed interventions introduce shade, cooling, and seasonal variation. Trees and vegetation soften the architecture, improve human scale, and encourage outdoor stay. The area shifts from a passage between school and city into a place for pause, meeting, and everyday rest. Developed within a Design & Build commission integrating design and on-site realization, enabling direct testing in practice.
