A library beneath the stone

The library is an architectural intervention within massive limestone walls. It is a vault of knowledge, hidden inside the quarry as a secret chamber with books that are sources of information about all the aspects of this unique location. It is an intimate space defined by glass with exposed layers of the limestone. The project celebrates the process of learning by creating a unique path of experience - as visitors walk up the spiral ramp they are able to possess knowledge from displayed vast library catalogue. It symbolizes the gradual process of discovery, where architecture becomes a medium for reflection, allowing visitors to gain knowledge through both books and space itself.
