ETAGERE

My design proposal for an étagère for Venečky Janeček is inspired by an origami bird that is part of the atmosphere of their store. I wanted to translate the lightness and purity of paper folding into a simple yet distinctive form that also serves as a display for the products. I worked with the principle of balance – the shape grows out of geometric folding and the search for equilibrium between stability and apparent fragility. The object thus functions not only as a practical display element, but also as a symbol of play, movement, and subtle tension.
