TRIFOLIUM: TEH JEWELER´S HOUSE

The jeweler’s house on the Kadaň embankment is a compact object connecting craftsmanship with living. The concept follows the tradition of local medieval jewelry. The lower floors belong to the shop, exhibition, and a public workshop. Above them is a workshop with a grinding shop and upstairs is the jeweler's private housing. The jewel of the house is its facade. In front of the glass walls is a structure of perforated panels, serving both aesthetic and shading functions. By changing the density and size of the holes, a pattern resembling trefoils is created – a recurring motif of medieval jewelry and architecture. They thus refer to the function of the house and create interesting light effects both by day and at night, when illuminated from within.
