Community Center Letenské Square

The subject of this thesis is to evaluate possibilities and to sift through ideas of a way how - and more importantly if - to build on the Letenské Square. Moreover, to design an elaborate programme that suits the location. Letenske Square is found in the vicinity of Prague 7, bordered by Milady Horákové, Veletržní and Ovenecká streets. The Community Center that I designed offers space for a variety of communal activities, all taking place tightly connected to each other under one roof. The supermarket, which occupies the square nowadays, is displaced onto the first underground floor.
