Viewing Platform in Deštné, Orlické Mountains

Viewing Platform in Deštné is based on the shape of contour lines and naturally adapts to the terrain. The building is recessed into the slope, which maintains an unobtrusive appearance and does not obstruct the view of the surrounding landscape. The interior spaces hide sanitary facilities and a refreshment kiosk, while the roof serves as a lookout and residential stairs for relaxing and observing nature. The landscape can be perceived through the kiosk windows even in adverse weather. The project was created on the site of a former cable car and connects to existing tourist routes, a new cable car and a winter ski slope.
