Observation deck in Deštné v Orlických horách

The design places three structures in the landscape of the Orlické Mountains – two viewing platforms and a kiosk with a bistro and restrooms. They are unified by the motif of a copper frame, which captures views of prominent landscape features. These frames serve as landmarks in the terrain, offering rest areas, shelter from adverse weather, and spots for observing the surrounding scenery.Inserted wooden volumes highlight the contrast between the clean architectural concept and its practical function. A circular platform in the central area defines the focal point of the site and serves as the main spot for viewing through both frames. The project establishes a new landmark in the area, inviting both rest and ski-through experiences.
