In the past, in the future

The Old Ruzyně Square is being transformed into a contemporary public space with an emphasis on quality of stay, safety and connectivity. Traffic is being calmed, roads are being improved and pedestrian links are being strengthened. Unused buildings are gaining new public functions and the space is opening up to people. A place for gathering, resting and commemorating history is created. The stream is a natural part of the whole, not an obstacle. The square acquires a new function, but its character and relationship to its surroundings are preserved.
