This study, "On the Left Bank of the Berounka River," examines the hydrological regime of selected catchments on the left bank of the Berounka in the Křivoklátsko PLA, an area long affected by drought. The goal was to compare retention capacity and runoff conditions in landscapes predominantly covered by forest stands versus agriculturally utilized ones. We analyzed three specific catchments—Krakovský Brook, Vůznice, and Tyterský Brook—and used modeling scenarios to assess the impacts of different land use types on water runoff during both regular and flash rainfall events. The results provide a basis for considering appropriate landscape and management measures that can help improve the landscape's retention capacity and mitigate drought impacts.
