GALLERY FOR THE SLAVONIC EPIC

The Gallery of Slavonic Epics is located on the northern bastion of Vyšehrad as an addition to the unfinished walls. It has a trapezoidal plan following the existing fortifications. The roof of the gallery is walkable and offers a view of the historic center of Prague. The operation of the gallery is divided into a service and exhibition part. The service area is divided into three floors for visitor areas, an administrative area and areas for managing the exhibition. The exhibition part of the gallery makes available all 20 monumental canvases of the Slavonic Epic, and from the north-eastern side of the hall is supplemented by a walkway with a view of Prague, which at the same time protects the historical casemates.
