NEW QUARTER AND HOSPITAL LETŇANY

The subject of the assignment was to design a new district in the development area around the Letňany metro station. The district should include a large hospital with a teaching centre. The aim was to create a full-fledged multifunctional district with a high residential density, but which would not be cramped and would provide sufficient quality public spaces. The project is based on the existing urban axises - the existing road with an avenue leading from Mladoboleslavská Street towards the Letňany transport terminal and the original pilgrimage route to Stará Boleslav. The district is designed as a city of short distances. All civic amenities are within walking distance. Thanks to the Letňany transport terminal, the locality is well served by public transport.
