Implementation project - Sokolovské náměstí

The revitalization of the square in the historic center of Liberec responds to its current degradation caused by the dominance of traffic and parking areas. The design changes the functional use of the space in favor of a livable urban environment. Newly defined pathways respect the terrain and naturally align with the perimeter lines. The spatial composition consists of green areas, a water feature, seating walls, and urban furniture that encourages use of the square across generations. The transformation returns the area to the people and creates an open community space with an emphasis on quality of stay, natural flow, and an attractive public environment in the heart of the city.
