A stop not just for cyclists

A pair of buildings from the early 20th century, once part of the Císařský mlýn complex, is repurposed into a cyclist hostel with shared spaces and a two-level bike and ski shop. The design preserves the original envelope, adds views into the roof, and features open, airy interiors. The hostel includes a central communal hall with a kitchen/bar and side wings for short stays. A footbridge connects upper levels and provides stair access. The shop has a gallery, dual access from two floors, and a new steel-wood structure enabling flexible use.
