Kindergarten Jezinka

The only Jezinka you'll ever want to carry your kids for the whole day. In the river landscape between the Turnov urban conservation area and the Jizera riverbed, I design a new kindergarten. The building is situated in a brownfield site - the industrial site of the Horse Market. In the design I respect the previous use of the site and preserve the significant elements of the original building - the perimeter wall with arches and tracks - and turn them into strong moments of the kindergarten. The kindergarten building has capacity for one hundred children divided into four classes. The kindergarten also includes its own cooking room, a workshop with direct access to the outdoor terrace and a large garden. For Turnov parents with smaller children, I design a nursery centre in the build
