Annotation
The project proposes a transformation of the southern part of Turnov in two phases. The first phase connects the town with the Jizera River via a new pedestrian bridge and opens up access to an island used by the Scouts, through which the Greenway Jizera cycling route will pass. The existing road above the Jewish cemetery is lowered to ground level and converted into an urban boulevard, while a new bypass road is proposed towards Jičín. The freed-up area is used for residential development and a park in the Jizera meander designed for recreational use. The second phase envisions relocating industrial facilities closer to the railway line, creating space for a new urban residential center that supports the sustainable development of Turnov.
