The new summer theatre in Český Krumlov is called "In the Shade of the Trees" and seamlessly follows the original castle garden. The entire design is centrally oriented. The stage itself is set under the open sky at the heart of the layout. The atmosphere of the performances is created through projections on curved concrete walls, which make the space highly variable. Behind these "backdrops" is a building only for the actors with everything they need – dressing rooms, a makeup area, a costume department, and more. The audience is seated in chairs cast from artificial stone, put into a concrete structure. The experience can be further enhanced by visiting a café offering refreshments and seating with a view of the garden. You can end the cultural experience with a walk through the garden.
