The Symplegades

Valerie Filipová

Annotation

The main idea of the project comes from Greek mythology. The Symplegades are two rocks that dangerously approach and collide, thus representing both a passage and an obstacle for sailors. The buildings of the town hall and the archive are in a dynamic close relationship. The town hall is lively, bustling, welcoming, while the archive is, on the contrary, anxiously calm, empty and closed in on itself.
