České Budějovice - Location "Nearby railway siding - east"

The aim of the proposal is to transform the existing area in the eastern part of České Budějovice, located north of Rudolfovská Avenue, into a fully-fledged urban district. The area in question is currently characterized by impermeable industrial complexes, scattered low-rise buildings, and large fenced-off plots, often used for parking or large-scale retail. The proposal seeks to rectify the spatial and functional relationships, open up the area, and integrate it into the broader urban structure. A key factor in the design is the presence of a railway siding that runs through the site from east to west and currently acts as a significant barrier to both pedestrian and vehicular connectivity.
