Linecka - the space between levels

The design of a contemporary structure on a corner plot in Linecká Street in Český Krumlov focuses on complementing the historical composition of the city with a contextually appropriate yet modern building. The proposal consists of five smaller volumes with gable roofs that follow the character of the surrounding development in both scale and expression, complemented by a lightweight glazed extension at the heart of the structure. On the ground floor, accessible from the terrain level (±0 m), are situated three commercial units and a wine bar. The residential part consists of four modular apartments, with entrances accessible from an elevated inner courtyard (+3 m), which also connects all functional parts of the building - including a café and a single-storey cultural centre.
