Gallery under the Nusle bridge

The gallery under the Nusle bridge complements the monumentality of the bridge without competing with its scale or expression. It is a linear three-storey glass structure with an arched roof that subtly fits into the space below the bridge and harmonizes naturally. Its rounded form creates the impression of an open embrace – inviting passersby to stop, enter and explore. The gallery functions as a multifunctional cultural space designed for exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops, and community gatherings. It is open to the general public. The main idea of the design is to transform the underbridge area, to give it a new purpose, to bring life, cultural value, and a reason to return. A place once passed by becomes a destination - humane and open.
