České Budějovice Old printing hall site

The area is located in České Budějovice, directly adjacent to the train station and the important Lannova Avenue, which serves as the main connection between the station and the city center. In the proposal, I am creating an underpass that directly links to Lannova Avenue. The underpass opens into a new square and connects these two key parts of the city at a crucial junction. From the new square, two main routes emerge – the "busy" Vrbenská Avenue and a quiet pedestrian zone featuring a linear park and an active public space. The linear park also follows the city's green axes and expands into a large park that gradually leads pedestrians toward the outskirts. The urban structure is designed to be more permeable. I am preserving the existing hall and transforming it into a cultural center.
