Annotation
The design of the municipal library, complete with study areas and administrative facilities, responds sensitively to the dynamic transformation of Prague’s broader city center and the redefinition of the local urban core in connection with the construction of the new Metro Line D station – Náměstí Bratří Synků. The result is a building that naturally complements the new transport infrastructure with a vital element of public amenities – a space for education, community gatherings, and peaceful concentration in the midst of urban life. The building fills an empty corner of the city block on Otakarova Street, where the vibrant bustle of the intersection meets the calm atmosphere of the inner courtyard.
