Emma Lookout Tower

Bc. Martina Stručovská

Annotation

The Emma Lookout Tower is located in northern Bohemia near the village of Duchcov and the Bílinský brown coal mine. The lake after which it was named is located on the border between reclaimed and heavily degraded landscapes. The lookout tower is a vertical path that provides access to views of the landscape. Its morphology symbolizes the activity that devastates a large part of this landscape, and thus reflects the relationship of man to the landscape that he admires and at the same time changes.
