POHOŘKO

Within the studio I designed according to the competition specifications of the urbanistic-architectural competition for the revitalization of the Pohořka area in Přeštice, located in close proximity to the national cultural monument - the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The aim was to rehabilitate a historically and spiritually significant area that had been degraded by insensitive construction in the past. The brief placed emphasis on restoring the dignity of the area, adding cultural and community functions and making the solution sustainable. The aim of the design was to organise the area into a clear and easily navigable whole, to give space to all the desired functions and to give prominence to the dominant feature of the church.
