BOTANICAL GARDEN

Annotation
In Prague’s Žižkov district, where an administrative railway building once stood, a botanical greenhouse is rising. It utilizes a construction gap – a pit left after demolition – as a natural space to place soil and vegetation. Thanks to the stepped volumes and tall planters that grow upward through the space, the greenery slowly spills into the vertical dimension. Visitors can walk along the ground or ascend up to the treetops, where perspective and perception of space shift. The greenhouse thus creates a vertical landscape and offers an oasis of calm within the bustling urban fabric.
