Platform in the Deštné v Orlických horách

The viewing platform in Deštná v Orlických horách is located in the middle of the skicentre, at the very top of the hill. The place can be reached by a new cableway called Kikiriki. The viewing platform is designed with two main functional parts, namely the buffet part, which is oriented to the north, and the viewing part. The shape of the structure resembles an equilateral triangle and fan-shaped from east to west. Its shape and proposed height of 9 metres thus provides a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. The main point in the technical design was to retain the existing rope structure and use it as a static support. The design of the building was sought to exploit the potential of the surrounding nature to the maximum and make the site more attractive to visitors.
