REVITALIZATION AXIS PALACKÉHO – EMAUZY

Bc. Robin Primus

Annotation

The project focuses on transforming the area between Palackého Square and the Emmaus Monastery through a new water canal, which becomes a central landscape and urban feature. Linked to the Vltava, the canal forms a new city axis and public space, following natural terrain and a historic route, marked by a monumental staircase. A riverside promenade with a museum and public spaces supports daily urban life. Footbridges ensure pedestrian flow and connect to Pod Slovany and the Emmaus area. The water element improves the microclimate and public comfort. Palackého Square is redefined as a gateway to the area, with water features, trees, and street furniture enhancing its public role.
