Natural swimming pool Hradčany

My project focuses on the revival of the Hradčany swimming area, which stood here during the First Republic. After its demolition, local efforts to restore it gradually began to emerge. I develop the site's potential through newly designed facilities. The necessary functions are divided between two single-storey wooden buildings—one for year-round use, the other for summer only. The summer building includes changing rooms, toilets, and showers. A bistro with a terrace, a sauna overlooking the pond, and their facilities operate all year. Wooden cladding evokes a carefree summer atmosphere. The new design restores the site’s memory, creates a meeting place for locals, and offers refreshment to cyclists on hot days. Who wouldn’t want to cool off at the swimming area in summer?
