Holešovice Power Plant - City Gallery
Annotation
The Holešovice power plant is an old industrial building we transformed into a gallery. I wanted to preserve the building’s integrity—the new extension should not feel foreign, but still clearly modern. I aimed to balance the old and the new. This concept is reflected in the exhibition halls: the old part displays historical artworks, the new part contemporary pieces. The underground level hosts “underground” art like graffiti and light installations. The gallery also includes a presentation center with smaller rooms for events and exhibitions. Additionally, there is a fully equipped studio for visitor creativity.
