Project of a kindergarten and community center in Prague, Holešovice examines climate change in 2099 and how to adapt to increasing temperatures by an average of 4 °C plus taking into account the heat island effect.
The design of 2 buildings separated by function is connected by a vegetation roof, which in the morning serves the needs of the kindergarten and the public in the afternoon thanks to its connection to the city park - connection between the private and public space.
With regard to increasing temperatures, the windows have a light shelf, thanks to which light will get into the interior even when the blinds are closed. Renewable energy sources such as solar energy or water from a nearby river are also used to run the building.
