Inner Kájov Gate

Topic of this project is the town fortifications of Český Krumlov, especially the inner Kájov Gate. This project is about reconstructing the gate based on demolition documents. It's complemented by thoughts and ideas based on traditional building methods, construction practices, and references to other buildings from the time when the gates were built. The aim was to design the individual structures in a historically accurate manner. The main requirement is to reconstruct the gate and restore the missing dominant feature of the town.
