PARK-ing

The urban design of Latrán in Český Krumlov revitalizes a neglected area currently used as a parking lot. The new layout, shaped as an elegant curve, echoes the meanders of the nearby river and offers a dignified solution for stationary traffic in the historic center with ample capacity. The parking area uses permeable materials that allow rainwater to soak into the ground. A central park is complemented by a calm road along the riverbank, lined with civic amenities. The space includes areas for relaxation, leisure, and social gatherings. Designed for both residents and tourists, the project helps relieve pressure from the overcrowded town center.
