Summer theatre in Český Krumlov

In my design for the summer theatre in Český Krumlov, I followed the main axis leading from the castle through the formal garden toward the open landscape. The aim was to create a space that does not act as an imposition, but as a natural extension of this composition. It is a place that emerges from its surroundings and respects their historical significance.Here, the audience perceives not only the performance, but also the surrounding landscape, which forms an integral part of the overall experience. The design also includes a cafeteria, which connects to the theatre’s support facilities. The entire site thus offers more than just a theatrical experience—it provides a peaceful place to pause, a space that unites culture with the landscape and everyday life.
