Summer Theatre

Summer Theatre is a project that explores a large square area situated right behind the gardens of the Český Krumlov Castle. It involves the design of the theatre, that is planned to replace the current revolving auditorium and also the design of the overall surrounding garden and the entrance tourist area. The theatre itself is inspired by the first greek theatres, in terms of its interior disposition and layout. In the arc sectors around the circular stage are the theatre backstage, bathrooms and also a café, that offers an outdoor seating area, partially under a balcony of the promenade. The garden follows the existing baroque geometry and adapts its longitudinal axis. The upper area is designed as a bosquet, while the lower part features pathways lined with cherry tree alleys.
