Senior center Nižbor

The proposed senior centre is located in Nižbor in the centre of Křivoklátsko. It is located in the centre of the village on the right bank of the Berounka River. The design concept is adapted to it. The building is elevated above the level of the hundred-year water to protect it against possible flooding. The design serves the local population, but at the same time takes into account the catchment area of the surrounding villages and towns of the Křivoklát region. The lowest floor of the house houses the common rooms and spaces enabling the centre to operate. The upper two floors are intended for housing. The flats on the second floor are mainly for people with social care needs.
