Distillery Karlov

Annotation
The topic of my semester project is the restoration of the distillery’s function in a historic 19th-century building, along with its expansion through new facilities. The site covers the entire life cycle of spirits – from fruit cultivation in a nearby orchard, through distillation and bottling, to direct sale to customers. The heart of the production, the distillation apparatus, is placed in the original building, which remains the dominant feature of the site. The urban layout has been significantly redesigned. The geometric center is located in the main building, with new functional areas arranged in concentric circles around it. This organization ensures separated flows of customers and employees, minimizing their interaction.
