Axis

This project introduces Axis, a modular furniture system composed of two elements designed for use in both private and public settings. Developed for the waiting lobby of a central train station, The Overlook, Axis responds to spaces of transition where waiting, working, and meeting overlap. The system consists of two combinable modules: Axis B functions as a work surface or coffee table, while Axis A offers flexible use through its open structure. Inspired by the dynamic character of the station environment, Axis allows multiple configurations, supporting individual and shared activities while remaining adaptable to changing spatial and social needs.
