Karlín Barracks Interior

The project is based on a standardized room that is repeated throughout the entire building, yet each instance is resolved in a different architectural and constructional manner. The concept relies on working with a unified floor plan module, which is transformed in each case in order to explore the possibilities of spatial variability and functional adaptability. The individual rooms are designed for different types of use, and their internal structure therefore changes significantly. The identical spatial framework thus generates spaces of distinct character, atmosphere, and internal logic of organization. This diversity enables an experimental approach to interior design, including the development of atypical elements, varied material solutions, and the testing of different methods.
