Bastion

The proposed house stands on a corner on the edge of the historic city development and, with its compact, monolithic shape and striking appearance, becomes a distinctive urban element and landmark. An important motif of the house is the arch, which copies the line of the sidewalk and is repeated in various parts of the building. The gradual gradation of the floors, from the southern view, gently responds to the adjacent buildings and their street line. The overall step-off of the mass creates space for a public space, which is actively used by the café on the ground floor. Thanks to this, the corner comes to life and is welcoming to the public.
