The Edge

The Edge is an apartment building with an active ground floor designed in Žižkov on a plot with a significant terrain difference. The approximately eleven-meter elevation creates a natural edge of the area, which became the main starting point of the design. The shape of the building is based on the curved line of the plot and is divided into four volumes with a clear separation of public and private functions. The 1st floor contains an active ground floor with a hairdressing salon, a nail salon and a pilates studio, connected to the street by a glass facade. The 2nd floor has a semi-public character and is dedicated to a mini-golf course located in a "void". Apartments are designed on the upper floors - studios, barrier-free units and 16 maisonettes accessible from a footbridge(Highline).
